The Difference between Strategies Used when Teaching English to Primary School Students as Opposed to Primary School Students with Special Educational Needs

This thesis is aimed at English language education of primary school students and primary school students with special needs. It is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and consists of two chapters. The main goal of the work is to expand author's horizons in terms of available teaching methods, to improve their teaching and gain better understanding of the possible ways to individualize teaching. The thesis also aims to introduce a variant of a case-study, the self-study as means of improvement for teachers and motivate them to try it. We also try to point out the advantages and disadvantages of some methods when teaching special needs students. The first chapter will explain, what we mean by primary school students and primary school students with special needs. It will also mention certain specific factors of their education. As the teaching of special needs students is an incredibly complex field, the only mentioned learning difficulties and handicaps will be those later mentioned in the practical part of the thesis.
